Check out the Latest Footage from a WIP 3D Platformer Made in UE

Indie developer and 3D animator duhma showcased some cool mechanics from their project created with Unreal Engine.

It's been a while since we covered the project of duhma, an indie developer and 3D animator who is working on a 3D platformer using Unreal Engine. We were impressed with the smooth animation showcasing the character's parkour movements back in March. A few months passed, and the game received more intriguing mechanics and features. Let's check them out.

Firstly, let's look at this fast-paced and smooth movement of the controllable character jumping onto a boomerang to maintain momentum, “just like performing tricks in the air.”

Earlier last month, duhma shared another video clip demonstrating some of the game mechanics, such as a wall run and the character's ability to turn the boomerang into a platform to jump from and use it to pull down the board ahead to create a path:

Through the video clips, we can see how essential the boomerang is in this platformer. This footage below show how the boomerang can be used to reach higher positions:

This little helper can also be used wisely to remove obstacles on a surface so you can jump onto:

The project is still in the early development stage and doesn’t have a Steam page yet. However, duhma has teased that a movement testing demo would be released soon, probably in October. If you’d like to give it a try, we encourage you to follow the developer on Twitter.
