Disappointed players ask for the developer to reconsider.
If you ever had hope to play Cyberpunk 2077 on PlayStation 5, we'd apologize for this news that might break your heart, as CD Projekt Red just said that the game won't make it to Sony's latest console.
This decision was revealed in the reply by the official account of the action RPG to a fan who'd like to purchase the game for the third time for their new hardware. The developer gave a straightforward answer, saying that they "currently have no plans for PS5 Pro patch." Earlier in May, the developer's financial reports showed that no one at the studio was working on Cyberpunk 2077, so their plan was understandable.
Exploring the Night City with better visuals and quality has become an illusion for now. Players' reaction is no other than disappointment, and many ask the developer to reconsider.
What would happen if players insist on playing Cyberpunk 2077 on PS5 Pro? The game might run horribly, similar to players' experiences with Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and the Silent Hill 2 Remake, both of which have been observed to run at a lower quality than on standard PS5.

Don't be upset by this news, though. You can still play 55 games on the new console, including Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Hogwarts Legacy, Dragon Age: The Veilguard, and more. Sony promises "many more games to follow."
