Dragon Age's Former Boss's Upcoming Third-Person, Action-Adventure Game Is Revealed

Eternal Strands is coming in 2025.

Just a few days ago, we discussed how Yellow Brick Games, a studio founded in 2020 by Dragon Age Creative Director Mike Laidlaw and Ubisoft veterans, teased its debut game, and here we are with all the details about the upcoming title.

Eternal Strands is a third-person, action-adventure game, which takes inspiration from titles like Shadow of the Colossus and Monster Hunter. Here you'll engage in epic battles with gigantic creatures determined to take you down. The game also incorporates physics-manipulating powers similar to Tears of the Kingdom, transforming you into a powerful sorcerer.

"Fight epic, towering creatures while blending magical abilities with an arsenal of powerful weapons to keep the world from crumbling in this third-person, action-adventure game," reads the description on Steam.

Eternal Strands tells the story of Brynn, a young Weaver embarking on a journey to revive her people's cultural home by unraveling the secrets of the ancient nation known as the Enclave. Along the way, Brynn will face various adversaries, including towering giant creatures. She can even climb on top of these beasts to engage in epic battles and deliver powerful blows.

The game will be built on Unreal Engine 5 and is set to release sometime in 2025. As for now, you can add the game to your wishlist on Steam and look forward to more updates from the developer.
