Explore Stunning Mountain Landscapes Against Dynamic Weather In This Indie Snowboarding Adventure

The Vast White is slated for launch later this year.

Snowboarding adventure game The Vast White, as its name shows, brings you to a vast mountainous area covered by white snow, accompanied by dynamic weather. There is no rush, just explore this stunning area at your own pace.

There are numerous paths to take in this open world, and some of them are hidden deeply and might need to take additional effort to encounter. But there, you'll find some secrets that might tell you more about the mountain's past.

It sounds like a peaceful, lonely journey ahead, but you're not alone here. The villagers, fellow explorers, wise locals, and mysterious strangers are to be met, and they'll bring you their own story or maybe some task or knowledge about this place.

The stunning visuals of the game weren't built within one day, as the shared footage on social media shows that improvements were added gradually to help make the game much more alive and realistic. For example, the volumetric fog that responds to the terrain height makes the scene much more dynamic and immersive:

Here is a time-lapse clip to see a full day fast passing, presenting the day and night cycle in the game:

Also, there are more clips to show the smooth camera shift that gets you ready for the upcoming descending, as well as some amazing jumps showcase:

The Vast White is an Unreal Engine project of solo developer Horizon Games, who aims to release the game later this year. If you enjoy this peaceful, beautiful snowboarding game with a story to share, don't hesitate to add it to your Steam wishlist and follow the indie developer on X/Twitter to learn more.
