While the recent teaser has effectively captured the attention of players, some are voicing concerns about the developer's marketing approach to the project. They are apprehensive that it might tread the same path as Portal 64, suggesting the deletion of all current footage of the project and advocating for complete secrecy throughout its development.

For context, the developer of another fan game, Portal 64, was asked by Valve to halt the project due to intellectual property issues not that long ago. The game, which was being developed for the Nintendo 64 console using Nintendo's proprietary library, raised concerns from Valve's legal team.
