"None of them will be about our beloved God of War. I am awaiting updates just like everyone else."
A while ago, there were numerous reports and speculation that Chris Judge, the actor who voiced Kratos in the God of War series, teased the audience with upcoming announcements. The news came from an Instagram stream where the actor referred to multiple news. However, recently, Judge took to Twitter and responded to the information, saying that none of the announcements is related to God of War.
"Absolutely not true! You can’t tease something you know nothing about. I will be making announcements in the near future, I can guarantee none of them will be about OUR beloved God of War. I am awaiting updates just like everyone else," the actor wrote.
In the said Instagram stream, Chris Judge referred to multiple upcoming news that will that will be revealed during the next two weeks. "Thank you so much for joining us, and we will talk to you soon," Judge said.
Chris continued, saying that a major announcement would be made on December 1. "A lot of you were asking what was coming next – I'll tell you," the actor said.
Indeed, there was no indication that the upcoming news could be related to the God of War series, though it would be exciting for the fans. Before, Roberto Clemente, Senior Animator at Sony Santa Monica, reposted a tweet with speculation on the upcoming updates, in which KaptainKuba suggested that Chris Judge could be talking about "the secret levels episode or the next big God of War":
Whatever the news will be, it seems to be very exciting, especially given the fact that it will seemingly come from the beloved actor. Also, it might be early for the next big update on the God of War series, as the latest release, God of War Ragnarök, came out for PC in September. The game, which follows the story of Kratos and Atreus in the epic world of Valhalla, instantly became the audience's favorite, with over 80% positive reviews on Steam as of writing.
