FromSoftware suggests turning off third-party mouse-controlling applications.
In the latest patch notes for Elden Ring, FromSoftware addressed, among many other things, the repetitive issue of unstable framerate that some players have been experiencing. The company explained that the reason for this bug in PC versions of the game may lie in third-party applications designed to alter the behavior of your own mouse, noting that disabling these applications could enhance performance.

Back at the end of June, FromSoftware also released a much-anticipated DLC for Elden Ring, Shadow of the Erdtree. Upon launch, Digital Foundry reviewed the expansion, noting that the long-standing framerate bug remained unfixed:
According to the patch notes dated July 3, FromSoftware offered a similar solution, recommending players deactivate applications that may interfere with mouse control. Earlier, the game publisher suggested yet another way to fix the bug of unstable framerate that involved adjusting graphic settings. By turning off Raytracing Quality in the title menu or the in-game menu, players could potentially achieve a more stable gameplay experience.

Though Elden Ring is loved by many players, FromSoftware faces not only technical challenges related to it but also lawsuits. Bandai Namco, the publisher of Elden Ring, is getting sued over the new DLC being too difficult. The plaintiff argues that Namco made the soulslike game too hard for casual players and experienced gamers.
