Netflix Might be Working on a Dragon Age Adaptation

According to Giant Freakin Robot's "trusted source", the company is actively working on a Dragon Age-based series.

There hasn't been an official comment regarding the Dragon Age series neither from BioWare nor from Netflix. Very little is known about the upcoming video game-based show but it is likely that the series is going to be a live-action adaptation (similar to The Witcher) rather than an animated version of the story.

Netflix has been making video game adaptations successfully for years now, and its list of game-based shows include Dragon's Dogma, The Witcher, and Castlevania. Apart from that, the company is currently working on adapting Splinter Cell, Assassin’s Creed, and Cuphead for the streaming platform.

Dragon Age is a popular franchise that started off strong back in 2009 when Dragon Age: Origins was released and went all the way to the top of Steam's sales chart in November. Dragon Age II sold over a million copies in under a week after its release in March 2011, while Dragon Age: Inquisition is BioWare's most successful addition to the franchise based on the number of copies sold and the number of Game of the Year awards it won. Dragon Age 4 is currently in development and its release date has not been announced yet.
