It seems that during the recent NieR: Orchestra Concert in London, Yoko Taro, the prominent Game Director of the NieR series, might have teased the next installment in the beloved franchise.

As fans shared, at the event, Taro asked everyone to cheer loudly, prompting the Square Enix President, who, as many say, was present at the event, to see that people were actually waiting for a sequel. According to one attendee, the room was instantly filled with applause, cheers, and shouts.

However, the most noteworthy aspect of the evening was yet to come. Surprisingly, throughout the show, the word "REPENT" appeared multiple times as part of a dialogue, with the final instance spelled as "REP3NT". This has sparked speculation among fans that "Repent" might serve as the name for NieR 3.

"It has to be coming but the question is when," says one fan.

That's a good question. When do we hear anything about the game?

Speaking of the NieR series, Tencent recently canceled the development of a mobile game within the NieR series due to the lack of a compelling monetization model.
