Senior Technical Artist Maximilien Vert, known to many for creating stunning 3D leaves, has recently showcased an impressive new animation, created to learn more about digital rain. Depicting a highly-realistic plant leaf covered with raindrops, the animation was created using Substance 3D Designer, which was used to set up the leaf itself and the water drops on it, and Houdini, used for creating the falling water drops. Additionally, the author utilized Blender Cycles to render the animation.
