Slay the Spire 2 Is Finally Revealed

It's coming in 2025.

At the Triple-i Initiative showcase, Slay the Spire 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the iconic indie hit that was an inspiration for a whole new wave of digital deckbuilders, was finally announced by Mega Crit.

"The iconic roguelike deckbuilder returns. Craft a unique deck, encounter bizarre creatures, and discover relics of immense power in Slay the Spire 2," reads the description on Steam.

The trailer offers a peek into the new chapter of the game, in which we can see the three launch characters for Slay the Spire 2: The Ironclad, The Silent, and a fresh addition – a mysterious skeleton character. A screenshot from the game's recently unveiled Steam page introduces the skeleton as The Necrobinder, described as "a wandering lich who seeks to bind the forgotten corpse."

"The Spire isn't what it used to be. New enemies, events, and treasures await as the rooms and items you discover change each time you play," as written on Steam. "Try risky builds or play it safe as you explore countless different strategies, find yourself in peculiar scenarios, and confront the Bosses of each Act."

The game is coming in 2025, with developers promising to release more throughout this year. As for now, you can add the game to your wishlist on Steam and look forward to more updates.
