Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has recently took home the Grammy for the best video game soundtrack, surpassing acclaimed titles like Hogwarts Legacy, God of War: Ragnarök, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical, which were all in the same "Best Score Soundtrack for Video Games and Other Interactive Media" category.

The music for this galaxy-spanning, third-person, action-adventure game was written by prominent composers Stephen Barton and Gordy Haab, who came up on stage with a speech to accept this well-deserved award.

In 2022, The Recording Academy added several new categories to the Grammy Awards, including one for the best music in video games. In 2023, the Grammy Awards started recognizing exceptional composers in interactive entertainment. The winner of the inaugural award was the soundtrack for the expansion Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok.
