It fixes numerous bugs, improves graphics, animation, and more.

Yesterday, Bethesda released its major 1.9.47.0 update for Starfield in beta. As the developer promised, this patch is the biggest one since its official release on September 6, 2023. The beta version of the patch features "over a hundred fixes and adjustments", so let's take a look at the improvements Bethesda introduced.
The most important changes include
- Fixes related to quest completion and space exploration;
- The problem that prevented saving on PC if the Windows username contained certain characters has been fixed;
- The bug causing the player character's eyes to remain closed in third-person view has been fixed.
- The update addresses a bug that caused certain creatures to become invisible on specific planets.
- Improved widescreen support (32:9, 21:9 and 16:10);
- The game's visuals have received lots of attention as well, with numerous graphical improvements. Textures, lighting, and shadows have all been enhanced to elevate the overall visual quality and immersion for players.

- Fixed various issues related to geometry, textures, and ghosting for a smoother gameplay experience;
- Fixed various FSR2 and DLSS artifacts;
- Addressed an issue causing flickering and delays in shadow rendering after unpausing the game;
- Improved the geometry of the solar disk and added shadows to the rings of the planets for a more immersive experience;
- Fixed an issue where weapon sound effects would persist after defeating an enemy;
- Numerous bugs related to ships and items have been fixed;
- The overall stability of the game has been improved, ensuring a smoother gameplay experience;
- Previously addressed issues, such as the player's ship being followed by an asteroid, have been resolved.
