This Open-Source 3DGS Editor Now Supports Animated Gaussian Splats

Will Eastcott updated SuperSplat.

SuperSplat, the free open-source 3D Gaussian Splats editor created by Will Eastcott, has been updated to support loading and playback of 4DGS, aka animated Gaussian splats. To view PLY files as an animation, ensure they have a consistent base name with frame numbers, then add the files or folder into SuperSplat to display the timeline panel.

SuperSplat 1.13.0 also includes minor updates, such as a fixed undo/redo keyboard shortcut and improved handling of NaN data in the histogram.

SuperSplat is a browser-based tool built on web technologies, so no downloads or installations are required. It's designed for ease of use and supports drag-and-drop actions. Through the Scene Manager panel, you can easily hide splats, remove them from the scene, adjust their orientation, and select specific splats for editing.

Try SuperSplat here and visit its GitHub repository for more information. Also, don't forget to join our 80 Level Talent platform and our new Discord server, follow us on InstagramTwitterLinkedInTelegramTikTok, and Threads, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
