Ubisoft Appoints Battlefront Creative Director Bernd Diemer as VP of Editorial

The 20-year veteran of the games industry will help Ubisoft's Global Creative Office create "more inclusive, positive, and engaging play spaces."

Ubisoft has announced that it appointed Bernd Diemer as Vice President of Editorial – Social Experience.

Diemer, a game industry veteran with over 20 years of experience, who contributed to such titles as Crysis, Star Wars: Battlefront, Battlefield, and Horizon: Zero Dawn, in both the roles of creative director and game designer, will be joining Ubisoft's Global Creative Office, the team responsible for overseeing and directing the creative vision of the company's games.

Ubisoft stated that this appointment aims to increase Ubisoft's focus on social experience as a fundamental aspect of the company's vision for the future of video games as "positive spaces where players can connect, interact, and create together."

In his new role, Diemer will collaborate with Ubisoft's game teams from around the world to create "more inclusive, positive, and engaging play spaces" by utilizing the advancements in technology and design.

"I am honored to join Ubisoft and gain the opportunity to collaborate with talented global teams to shape the future of social experience in Ubisoft's games," Diemer commented on the appointment.
