Unreal Engine 5 Developer Used Mic Input To Control Balloon's Movement In Real-Time

Check out Myungwon Choi's interactive works.

Inspired by Pixar's Up, Myungwon designed the scene in Blender and imported it into Unreal Engine 5.5.1 via USD. There, he turned it into an interactive experience, allowing the microphone to control the balloon movement in real-time, letting it float higher or lower depending on the strength of the user's blow.

It's not the first time Technical Artist Myungwon Choi has explored this creative use of mic input with Unreal Engine 5. Previously, he showcased a digital pinwheel controlled by blowing into the microphone:
