VIEW Conference Welcomes Peter Sohn

VIEW Conference announced that Peter Sohn, vice-president and creative director at Pixar Animation Studios, will be attending the event in person, speaking about his role as director of Disney and Pixar’s upcoming animated feature Elemental.

Peter Sohn, director of Elemental, will join VIEW Conference 2023 in person to speak about the film, with a special presentation in which he talks about the creative journey he took to bring the movie to the screen. Elemental is Sohn’s second outing as an animated feature director, following his previous success with Disney and Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur. Both films were produced by Denise Ream.

Peter Sohn joined Pixar Animation Studios in 2000, working in the art and story departments for Finding Nemo. He went on to work in the art, story, and animation departments for The Incredibles, animating members of the Parr family, for which he received an Annie Award nomination. He also worked as a story artist on WALL.E, before his Pixar directorial debut in 2009 with the short film Partly Cloudy. Sohn is also the voice talent behind a number of Pixar’s most memorable characters, including Emile in Ratatouille, Scott ‘Squishy’ Squibbles in Monsters University, and SOX in Lightyear.

“I am so excited to welcome Peter Sohn to VIEW Conference 2023,” says Conference Director Dr. Maria Elena Gutierrez. “Peter is a true force of nature – a multi-talented storyteller, film director, animator, actor … you name it! In bringing his unique energy and wisdom to VIEW Conference, he is certain to leave our global audience feeling energized and inspired.”
