Voxel Plugin's creator Victor Careil continues to reveal key features of Voxel Plugin 2, a major update for the Unreal Engine 5 tool that introduces advanced voxel technology, set to be released early next year.
This time, the developer demonstrated sculpting a cave using three meshes, highlighting the plug-in's fully non-destructive, stamp-based workflow, enabling users to utilize any mesh to shape the terrain. Previously, Victor showcased runtime Nanite and Nanite tessellation:
According to the announcement, Voxel Plugin 2 will feature capabilities like runtime Nanite and Lumen, tessellation, splines, unlimited materials, voxel sculpting, and PCG, with even more on the way. Voxel Plugin 2 will be a free upgrade for current owners of Voxel Plugin 1, though the two versions will not be compatible.
