Water Physics Showcased in This Indie Action Game's Latest Combat Footage

See how these amazing details are added as the developers refine the project.

Developers of 13Z, an upcoming hack-and-slash roguelike action game, have presented new progress on their project in this clip showcasing stunning effects with its water physics. The controllable character, Brute, demonstrates his combat skills in a water area. As he walks through the water, ripples follow his movements, and waves form when his sword interacts with the water. On the enemy side, when they strike the water with a powerful hammer, a round, halo-like wave is produced to enhance the effect:

In May, we first spotted this indie game developed by Singapore-based studio Mixed Realms Pte Ltd. If you missed the article introducing it, 13Z presents an appealing yet challenging premise where players take on the form of animal spirits and are tasked with claiming the title of the 13th Zodiac. It features an upgrade system that encourages you to enhance your chosen animal spirit's abilities, unlock powerful modifiers, and adapt to ever-changing challenges. You can play the game alone or with a few friends with the co-op mode.

Other than the water physics, the developers have shared other interesting content about the game during the past few months. Below you can find some recent footage showcasing the game's evolvement from the beginning to now, a giant golden toad enemy whose tongue acts as a weapon, some combats with stunning visual effects, and more:

The release date of the game has yet to be announced, but if you can't wait to play it, don't hesitate to join their playtest by clicking the "request access" button on Steam. Also, remember to add it to your wishlist.
