Learning platform CG Pro is launching Game Design In Unreal – a new course that will help you accelerate your game design learning and teach you how to analyze and extract level design needs and apply this knowledge in Unreal Engine.

Game Design In Unreal takes 8 weeks and covers a number of topics including Blueprints, Landscapes, importing game assets, material editor, particles, play testing, and more.

During the course, you'll get over 35 hours of live instructions from Bennett Bellot, an instructor at Chapman University and a 20+ year entertainment industry veteran who served as a game designer and artist at companies like Interplay, Contraband Entertainment, Real-Time Associates, and Activision as well as worked at Oedekerk Productions, Nickelodeon, and Titmouse Studios.

In addition, the course will feature speaker takeovers with Blizzard's technical artist Michael Jose Arrevano, Crystal Dynamics' level designer Ryan Zingler, and Rusty Buchert, executive producer with over 100 game titles.

The course will help you to acquire solid base knowledge of how to use Unreal Engine for games as well as how to create a project that you can use to kick off your game idea.

Game Design In Unreal will start on February 4, 2023 via Zoom with classes taking place on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. PST and labs being held on Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. PST.
