Pika Labs has come a long way. Several months ago, the tool learned to animate images, and now its AI will give you a whole little movie, and it looks great. Not only can you make a video from scratch but you can also select an area you'd like to change and ask Pika to work its magic.

Pika's first official release includes a new AI model capable of generating and editing videos in different styles such as 3D animation, anime, cartoon, and cinematic, and a new, easier to use, web experience.

Despite its talent, Pika Labs couldn't have made it all so quickly alone. The studio has raised $55 million, with the rounds led by Nat Friedman & Daniel Gross and Lightspeed Venture Partners.
