Blender 4.2.6 & 3.6.20 LTS Released

Let's start the new year with our issues resolved.

Blender

The first LTS releases of the year have arrived, bringing 37 fixes for the Blender 4 series and 10 fixes for Blender 3. As always, it's highly recommended to update to keep your projects in sync with the latest changes and ensure a smoother workflow.

The list of fixes for Blender 4.2 users is pretty extensive, covering bugs and crashes related to Eevee and Cycles rendering, Extensions, Geometry Nodes, various tools, and more. For a detailed overview, see the Blender 4.2.6 LTS changelog here.

While the developers have big plans for Blender 4.4, set to drop this spring, plenty of users are still on Blender 3.6. Don't worry, though, LTS updates for 3.6 are expected throughout the year. Blender 3.6.20 LTS addresses several glitches in the rendering workflow, primarily related to Cycles. Find more details about the fixes here and check out Blender's roadmap for 2025, along with the dates for the next major releases.
