Seter MD's new masterpiece looks nearly identical to the original that inspired it.
Seter MD, a 2D Animator and After Effects guru, continues remaking notable visual effects from anime, this time presenting an almost 1-1 recreation of the flame breathing effect from Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer), made using Adobe AE.
To achieve this incredible result, the creator utilized two layers for main/clean colors and two layers for the anime-style black outlines, along with several adjustment layers. Seter further emphasized that animating at 12 FPS was key to the project's success: "Looking at the original scene, there isn't really consistency with shapes, each frame shows almost a different shape but at the same time you can tell where it's moving, because of that, I realized I had to speed it up by a lot."
Previously, Seter also demonstrated outstanding recreations of stylized green water from Studio Ghibli's Spirited Away and Star Children, magical beings featured in Howl's Moving Castle:
