Fix Resident Evil 2 Remake Camera with This Mod

Enjoy the world from certain angles only.

I thought what most players wanted from remakes of old games were nice, convenient cameras that follow the character and don't make navigation a nightmare (I knew I did when the Tomb Raider remasters came out), but I was wrong, apparently, because there is at least one person out there who turned back time with their fixed camera mod for the Resident Evil 2 remake.

Modder alphaZomega added fixed camera angles to every environment, like in the original game so you can feel nostalgic looking at these cinematic scenes.

"When starting the game, you will see your character from the point of view of a mounted/fixed camera cinematically pointed at the scene. Then when trying to walk out of frame, it will change to another camera based on your new location, with the camera angles transitioning to one another in a seamless sequence that will follow you wherever you go. There are over 1700 fixed cameras all carefully placed and the game can be completed from beginning to end entirely using these cameras."

By default, the mod uses camera-relative tank controls, meaning your character will go in the direction you push the stick to, no matter where they're facing. However, you can change the style in the options to the most comfortable variant.

The mod also provides other handy features for the best experience, like auto-aim, laser sights, and a camera editor. Moreover, you can make the camera "bend" to face the targeted enemies when they are offscreen and allow cameras to turn and follow you as you move. One of the most obvious drawbacks of fixed camera angles is worse visibility when it comes to important objects, so alphaZomega made some items flash and replaced the floating icons that appear when you get close with arrows.
