Halo Infinite will Reportedly Get a Battle Royale Mode

The game mode code-named 'Tatanka' seems to support up to 100 players and have duos/quads teams, shrinking zones, and different operations.

The possibility of Halo Infinite having a new mode soon was brought back in January by Windows Central. Then, insiders revealed Certain Affinity may be working on a new multiplayer mode for Halo Infinite code-named 'Tatanka,' which is "designed to be a more 'newcomer-friendly' experience."

Now, the rumor got more fleshed out with Twitter user InfiniteLeaks providing some extra details from data mining. According to it, Tatanka will have duos/quads modes, support up to 100 players and bots, use shrinking containment zones and multiple operations: Capture, Destroy, Hoard, and Supply Run.

It must be said that this does not yet confirm the Battle Royale game mode's existence. Some say the new mode will just have BR elements that will be connected to the Forge mode allowing players to customize, save, and share maps.

Tatanka is rumored to be released in Season 3 or Season 4, but it is still too early to say anything for sure.
