Come with me. There's something you should see, in front of the dinosaur.
It's been a while since we've heard any updates on Amazon's Fallout Season 2, which, for many fans of the games, might be a good thing, considering the showrunners' and Bethesda's shared tendency to rewrite the series' lore, coupled with the fact that the second season has been confirmed to take place in the Mojave Wasteland, the setting of the Fallout game thousands of fans are still All Fired Up about a decade and a half after its launch, Fallout: New Vegas.
While we're all Still in the Dark about the sequel's story, a recent leak from the set has seemingly confirmed the return of one of the game's most iconic landmarks, recognizable even to those who've never even played it thanks to the memes: Novac's Dinky the T-Rex.
Initially shared on the FalloutFanArt Twitter page and later reuploaded by Reddit user FeuTarse after FalloutFanArt deleted it, the alleged image from Season 2's film set showcases Dinky's prop head, which, aside from a few tiny details, looks nearly identical to its in-game version.
If the image is indeed real and not just some fan's personal project that can't be found via reverse image search, that would confirm that the sequel will allow viewers to revisit Novac – unless the showrunners get yet another Crazy, Crazy, Crazy idea of "subverting expectations" by destroying the Dino Bite gift shop and relocating Dinky's head elsewhere or moving the entire statue out of Novac, and given that Amazon had no issue changing Shady Sands' location on the map, that possibility isn't too far-fetched.

For those unfamiliar with Novac and Dinky but who, for some reason, still clicked on this article, here's a bit of context: Despite its small size, rundown appearance, and seeming lack of any Long-Term Care over the two centuries since the atomic war, Novac has become a memorable location for many players thanks to the settlement being located roughly between the tutorial town of Goodsprings and New Vegas (assuming you're just following the main quest in an intended way), serving as a great hub to sell your loot or make some easy caps by playing Caravan with one of the locals, and offering what is likely the first player home The Courier can claim.
By far the biggest reason people still remember Novac and the T-Rex statue – or rather, the sniper nest in its head – is, of course, Boone, a potential companion whose hiring quest, One For My Baby, has become the subject of numerous memes within the Fallout community despite the quest itself being rather heart-wrenching, exemplifying like nothing else that comedy equals tragedy plus time. Whether an older version of Boone will appear in Fallout Season 2 remains to be seen.
While we don't know whether our strong, silent, sharp-eyed sidekick will make a return, we do know that Robert Edwin House, a.k.a. Mr. House, is Back in the Saddle for Season 2 and will either make an appearance or get mentioned in the upcoming sequel, according to showrunner Graham Joshua Wagner.
Given that, in all but one ending, Mr. House gets a-man-chooses'd by the Courier, his upcoming appearance would raise questions about how Amazon plans to adhere to the in-game canon, however, it has already been confirmed that much like in Season 1, the canon will be put on the back burner, with creators explaining any potential inconsistencies with a 15-year gap between the events of FNV and Fallout Season 2.
According to Wagner, the crew working on Fallouе "really wanted to imply, 'Guys, the world has progressed', and the idea that the wasteland stays as it is decade-to-decade is preposterous to us," which is rich coming from someone working on Amazon's TV adaptation of the iconic game series – an adaptation that turned a somewhat-prosperous region more concerned about taxes than radiation into a typical post-apocalyptic wasteland seen in countless works before, essentially making the West Coast, well, a wasteland that stays as it is decade-to-decade.
Besides Mr.House, the sequel's Talent Pool also includes Macaulay Culkin, who is set to portray a "crazy genius-type character," with fans suggesting two potential characters for him to portray, depending on whether the "crazy" or "genius" aspect is more prominent:
