Rene doesn't look very exciting so far.
Electronic Arts
Project Rene was considered to be The Sime 5 before EA announced it would continue improving the fourth installment instead, making Rene a multiplayer spin-off.
There hasn't been much heard about the game for a while, but a small playtest on mobile took place several days ago, showcasing a new section of the game containing the Live Mode, and we now have some screenshots from it.
Shared by user DzXAnt22 on Reddit, they show some UI and a little piece of the world occupied by sims. "The graphics genuinely do look like this. It's not your device, it's not compression. It does have a weird blur over everything and looks very grainy," said the uploader, and this should give you an idea of what fans think about the view.
I don't play massive mobile games, but when I was interested in such things many years ago, they (and The Sims itself!) looked the same or even better. We should remember that Rene is still in development, but the screenshots were a letdown, I have to agree with most people.

DzXAnt22 also shared the description of The Sims Hub, containing The Sims 4, MySims, The Sims: Project Stories, and Project Rene, on the Google Play Store:
"Explore a Parisian neighborhood full of unique activities and stylish rewards
"Welcome to The Sims Labs: The Hub! Pick your Sim - each a unique character with their own story – and join friends & other players to explore a vibrant Parisian neighborhood together. Claim new outfits from the Thrift Shop by working at the local café or by completing quests. Make your wishes come true at the plaza fountain, discover hidden collectibles, meet the locals, and more. The Sims Labs games are prototype experiences focused on testing small chunks of larger game concepts.
"The features in this app do not necessarily represent the direction or content of any upcoming Sims game."
Rene does what EA promises: you can interact with other players, talk via text or voice chat, build together, and everything else a multiplayer experience implies. This playtest included only a small portion of the game, and Create a Sim was not part of it. The players had some daily quests to complete while working at a cafe.
"Somebody has to take their order and it will display a bubble above their heads showing what item they want. Then, you or another player has to go and collect those items. They can choose from Coffee, Espresso, or Croissant."
DzXAnt22 said the tasks could get "very repetitive and grindy after a while" and didn't bring you many simoleons. To earn money, you can level up, getting XP from "wishing at the fountain, talking to sims, completing quests, or working at the cafe."
The simoleons can be spent at the clothing shop. Players couldn't customize their outfits, only choose between 5 presets, but this will probably change in the final release.
We won't share the screenshots here, but you can take a look at them and ask DzXAnt22 some questions on Reddit.
