Learn How to Work With Animatable Deformers in Unreal Engine 5.5's Control Rig

Proj Prod's Stéphane Biava has shared a new in-depth tutorial.

A few weeks ago, the release version of Unreal Engine 5.5 was finally launched, introducing, among countless other things, the ability to author animatable deformers inside Control Rig and apply them to characters in Sequencer with a single click. Eager to demonstrate the capabilities of the novel feature, Unreal Authorized Instructor at Epic Games Stéphane Biava has shared a new in-depth tutorial covering everything necessary to get started with the new animation deformers.

From what deformers are and the initial setup to creating your own deformers, the new guide covers a variety of topics and features, as well as a plethora of useful tips and tricks that will help you improve your 3D animation workflow in Unreal Engine 5's Control Rig. You can watch the full tutorial for free attached above or by visiting the Proj Prod YouTube channel.

Previously, Stéphane also shared comprehensive tutorials on creating realistic destruction effects and setting up a cool gravity-defying Toy Story animation:
