New DOOM Game Receives Brutal Trailer

DOOM: The Dark Ages is coming next year.

The legend is back! DOOM: The Dark Ages, the next installment of the famous franchise has been officially announced complete with a trailer as fresh as the gore inside.

The prequel to 2016's DOOM, this game tells the origin story of the DOOM Slayer, the demon-killing warrior and "the super weapon of gods and kings." The video shows some juicy medieval encounters and powerful weapons – what we all love DOOM for.

"Vile forces push a kingdom to the brink. Fangs gnashing, their fury is emboldened by the flames of Hell’s own malevolence. No mortal blade cuts their masses down. No bulwark stays their advance. No army dares match them in the battlefield.

But you will. You are the super weapon primed to destroy evil.

For when Hell is at the gates, the DOOM Slayer answers."

"DOOM: The Dark Ages’ cosmic-scale conflict calls for the heaviest ordnance possible, and the Slayer heeds. Enter the cockpit of your Atlan – a daunting skyscraper-sized mech capable of toppling Hell’s behemoths with titanic metal fists – and reclaim the skies aboard the Slayer’s Mecha Dragon, strapped to the jaws with jet engines and overwhelming firepower."
