Sceneri Introduces Its Latest Update: Delivering the Most User-Friendly Version Yet

The newest update for Sceneri is full of fresh features and improvements that enhance its usability and user experience. Users can anticipate a number of UX and UI upgrades, along with innovative ways to connect with fellow creators in the community.

If you're not yet familiar with Sceneri, it's an app to play and create games from any device, currently optimized for iPhone and iPad. The platform is being optimized to target the full suite of available Apple devices, keeping the engine lightweight and modular to run on low to high-end hardware.

Recently, the team announced Sceneri's 0.5 update packed with new features and improvements. Below we've gathered some key updates:

  • Player avatars and profile page: With the latest update, the developers can now personalize the profile by adding an avatar and a brief bio. On the profile, they can keep track of the projects, likes, number of plays, and followers.
  • Unique project names: Sceneri now allows the users to give their projects unique and descriptive names that match the game's vision and aesthetic.
  • Project publishing: It's now possible to publish the projects so they can be accessed, played, and edited by everyone.
  • Enable Grid in the Settings menu: A new toggle option has been added in the Settings menu to easily enable or disable grid visibility.
  • Improved Radial menu with physics grab & spline distributor: With the latest update, the creators can grab and move objects, distribute them along a spline, or add physics to elements.
  • Inspector categories: The inspector panel has undergone a redesign to enhance the ease of locating and editing the object's properties.
  • Respawn sensor component: The respawn sensor component allows developers to create checkpoints and respawn points in the game. The creators can use it to make the title more challenging and entertaining.
  • New Add Data Component panel: The Add Data Component panel has undergone improvements to make it more user-friendly when adding and editing data components.
  • New Physics Body Component: The developers may add physics behavior to their game objects to enable or disable sleeping mode, which stops objects from moving when not active, and adjust object mass for different interactions.
  • Instant rotate button: The instant rotate button lets developers quickly rotate the objects by 90 degrees in any direction, making it easier to align objects to the grid or other objects.
  • Gameplay Reset: The gameplay reset feature allows users to restart the game from the beginning without losing any progress or changes made in editor mode. This function is handy for testing the game or fixing bugs.
