The framework adds new animation prompts that trigger handmade movement animations.
User Everglaid released a mod for Skyrim that allows climbing ledges, squeezing into tight spaces, jumping over walls, and more. In essence, Everglaid's Animated Traversal adds new 'animation prompt markers' that trigger handmade movement animations enabling interaction with various types of ledges, ladders, and cramped spaces.
The modder says it's meant "to help expand on complex level design related to non-linearity, backtracking mechanics and verticality" and is inspired by puzzle/layout games like Resident Evil. It's helpful mostly for other modders.
Everglaid notes that the mod doesn't add dynamic terrain climbing systems into the game and doesn't alter vanilla content.
Everglaid's Animated Traversal supports Skyrim Special and Anniversary editions. Get it on Nexus Mods and don't forget to join our new Reddit page, our new Telegram channel, follow us on Instagram and Twitter, where we are sharing breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
