Emilijus Jocas shared his latest personal project created with Spine.
With this charming, painterly-style duck character riding a Vespa scooter, Emilijus Jocas aimed to push the limits of smooth, detailed 2D animation while incorporating a 3D-inspired aesthetic.
As the artist explained, what started as a simple left-to-right 3D experiment evolved into an entire sequence of actions. He continued to add subtle details, such as reflections, the sensation of wind and speed, water splashes, and shadows for the droplets, among others. To give the animation a polished look and tie everything together, Emilijus completed the project with sound effects and a carefully chosen music track.
