This Hack & Slash Game With Manga Ink Graphics Got New Updates

The brilliant art style surprises us once again.

Brooklyn-based developer Alex Epton is the creator of GHOST EATER. This is a character action game with immersive sim/RPG elements, presented in a third-person perspective and featuring manga-inspired graphics. Recently, he has shared new updates about the game.

These include a new boss design/missile ability, shields/blocking, improved knockback, and the inspiration behind the game:

If you missed our previous report, GHOST EATER draws inspiration from the Deus Ex and NieR video game series. In this third-person character action game, players defeat or manipulate enemies to progress through a dense, interconnected cyberpunk environment. GHOST EATER boasts a stylish minimalist UI that complements its hacking gameplay mechanics, featuring eye-catching "ink" printed manga halftone graphics.

Feel free to follow the developer on Twitter if you'd like to see more footage from this upcoming game and add the game to your wishlist on Steam if you find it interesting.
