Watch This Incredible Motion Test Featuring Spider-Verse's Gwen Stacy

This stunning motion test, along with the final version, shows a very flexible Gwen Stacy from Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse animated by Spencer Wan.

It's hard to deny the impact of the animated Spider-Verse movies, genuinely setting new standards for comic adaptation and changing the direction of the whole industry with the revolutionary visual style.

Both Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse and its sequel, Across The Spider-Verse, have done a fantastic job cementing the argument that animation is a medium for all ages and not exclusive to kids, taking many risks and challenges with their bold animation choices, from blending 2D and 3D elements, unexpectedly changing the frame rates and colors, to an immaculate use of comic book elements in the visuals. While so much of the coverage has been done on those creative decisions and the quality of the animation in Spider-Verse, it never ceases to amaze the viewers.

This incredibly dynamic motion test of Gwen from the recent Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was done by Spencer Wan, known for his work on Netflix's Castlevania and Disney's The Owl House, the founder and director of Studio Grackle, responsible for animating the trailer for the critically acclaimed Hades.
