Game Developer Howie Day shared some progress on Wing Leader, a hobby remake of Chris Roberts' Wing Commander, the popular '90s space flight simulation game, which played a significant role in advancing the development of space combat games and featured a story campaign reminiscent of the Star Wars series.
With such stunning visuals showcased in this cockpit lighting demo, the project seems to be the kind of remake of a classic game that perfectly captures the nostalgic look you remember from your childhood. Wing Leader is a long-running project that has been in development since 2018, and Howie Day does not plan to sell it.
