At last, we have a confirmed release window.
If you've been using the iOS version of Maxon's beloved 3D sculpting app, you're likely aware that ZModeler is one of the most requested features still absent from ZBrush for iPad. In an interview with us at launch, ZBrush's Product Development Manager Paul Gaboury explained that ZModeler requires proper optimization for the iPad version, highlighting two main obstacles: the tablet's screen isn't large enough for the UI, and not all devices support hover states.
After all the wait, Maxon has finally confirmed that ZModeler is coming to ZBrush for iPad this April. The teaser also provides a sneak peek at the new UI, and we can expect more details and previews in the near future. We can also speculate that this will be included in a major software update this spring, so stay tuned by following ZBrush on X/Twitter for all the latest news.
If you're new to ZBrush, ZModeler is a very popular tool for hard-surface workflows and geometry refinements. Learn more about it here and check out the latest ZBrush for iPad update if you missed it, which introduced GoZ support for Cinema 4D, new ZSphere templates, and Pro Projects featuring a festive new IMM brush.
