2D-Style Explosion Generator Made in Blender Gets Animated

Hiroshi Kanazawa used Geometry Nodes to make an explosive impression.

If you think an epic boom makes any scene better, take a look at Hiroshi Kanazawa's anime-style explosion generator created with Blender's Geometry Nodes. Several days ago, this already cool tool was able to add some 2D fire to any project but now it's going to blow your mind in motion as Kanazawa animated it.

According to the creator's X/Twitter, you can control the explosion's starting frame, speed, and other parameters. Drawing a line is enough for fire to bloom, but you can also attach explosions to an object in your scene.

There are other options for the generator, but it's not available for download yet so you'll have to wait for Kanazawa to share this awesome creation.

Meanwhile, check out their other Blender experiments on X/Twitter. Beware: there are a lot of explosions here.
