Ogino's previously-showcased Mega Man Zero animation has been completed.
A couple of months ago, 3DCG Animator Ogino stunned the internet with a short Mega Man-inspired 3D animation that looked almost indistinguishable from genuine 2D anime. Recently, the creator revealed the full version of the sequence, showcasing Zero, the deuteragonist of the Mega Man X series, fighting a group of robots with his spear and pistol.
The animation features flashy visual effects and smears that fully sell the illusion of 2D, making it feel like a scene from an actual anime series rather than a 3D artwork. As with Ogino's earlier 2D-style projects, this latest masterpiece was created entirely in Blender.
