3D Animator and Game Developer 茶茶坊主 continues working on Metal Frontier, an upcoming isometric mecha shooter powered by Unity, unveiling an exciting new demo offering a behind-the-scenes look at the game's production.
The latest chapter of 茶茶坊主's devlog demonstrates Metal Frontier's action-packed combat sequence, with a mech-warrior smoothly sliding and flying across the battlefield to avoid projectiles and shoot their four-legged robotic opponent. According to the developer, the character movements were achieved with the help of Legs Animator, a multi-purpose leg IK animation Unity plug-in compatible with any type of 3D character.
