From Game Art to Cinematic Trailers: How Pixune Helps Game Studios Stand Out

Mehdi Goodarzi has told us about the inner workings of Pixune Studios, a studio specializing in game art, cinematic trailers, and in-game animations, discussing working with global brands and helping game developers bring their visions to life.

How It All Started

My journey into art didn’t start in a traditional classroom. At 15, I found myself fascinated by design while working in my father’s printing and lithography workshop, experimenting with Photoshop 4 on real-world projects. That early exposure to color, composition, and visual storytelling set the foundation for my career.

As my passion grew, I pursued graphic design and art studies at a university in Dubai while simultaneously working in the industry. By 19, I was leading a team of 20 designers, balancing leadership with education—a challenge that taught me the importance of creativity, communication, and adaptability. Within a year, I took on greater responsibilities and became CEO.

At 24, I shifted my focus to gaming and animation, directing five children’s games that gained international recognition. Over the years, I worked on 15+ games and animation projects as an art director, eventually founding Pixune Studios in 2018.

Notable Projects and Contributions

At Pixune Studios, we take pride in bringing stories to life through animation and game art. Our portfolio spans a diverse range of projects, including:

  • Supervisory work with Adobe, guiding animation development at an elite level.
  • Animation for Corsair campaigns – visually striking ads that captured global attention.
  • Promotional animations for Target – engaging content designed for marketing impact.
  • Collaborations with leading studios like Rovio, Smash

The Evolution of Pixune Studios

Pixune Studios was built on a vision: blending creativity, technology, and storytelling into industry-leading animation and game art. Recognizing a gap in high-quality game art and animation services, my brother Arvin and I set out to create a studio that would push creative boundaries while maintaining AAA production standards.

Today, Pixune Studios is home to over 50 talented artists, animators, and designers, each bringing a unique skill set and passion to our projects.

Our mission is simple yet ambitious: to create visually compelling and emotionally engaging content that captivates audiences across the globe. Whether it’s a complex cinematic trailer, a stylized game animation, or an anime sequence, we ensure that our work always exceeds expectations.
