DOOM: The Dark Ages, the next game in the wildly popular series, has just received its first trailer featuring thrilling violence and interesting weapons. One of them, a shield made with a saw, captured the attention of the artist Craneo, who quickly implemented the "shieldsaw" in the original DOOM from 1993.
It looks great, and the best part is that you can download it for your game as Craneo kindly provided a .wad file.
If you thought that was all, think again. You might actually remember the impressive skull crusher gun from the trailer, and Craneo made it as well. The weapon chomps on bones, spits out their fragments, and probably does something even more badass, but that's all we saw in the video. Perhaps Craneo will modify it once we get more gameplay from id Software.
