NVIDIA CEO: Everyone Is a Programmer Now with AI

"We have closed the digital divide."

At the Computex forum in Taipei, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang once again discussed the topic of AI, saying it makes programming much easier than ever before as this barrier is "incredibly low."

"We have closed the digital divide. Everyone is a programmer now – you just have to say something to the computer," he said (via Reuters). "The rate of progress, because it's so easy to use, is the reason why it's growing so fast. This is going to touch literally every single industry."

With "everyone is a programmer now" Huang repeated what the company's CTO Michael Kagan said in March, so this could be NVIDIA's official stance right now.

Huang demonstrated AI's capabilities by getting it to write a pop song praising NVIDIA using a short prompt. He also revealed several new applications, including a partnership with the WPP advertising group for generative AI-enabled content for digital advertising.

It's easy for everyone to take to the skies these days, but only if you have a valid ticket
