Stunning Realistic 3D Cinematic Inspired by Apple TV+'s Show Silo

Steffen Hampel provided a breakdown and some files.

Silo is a sci-fi dystopian drama created by Graham Yost for Apple TV+ based on the Wool, Shift, and Dust novels by Hugh Howey. It tells the story of a community living in a giant silo, believing the existing rules are meant to protect them.

Inspired by the show, artist Steffen Hampel created a short realistic sequence showing some of the many floors of the silo. The cinematic used no generative AI, as Hampel felt the need to mention, and was done with 3ds Max, V-Ray, "some modeling, texturing, kitbashing and classic techniques."

If you want to examine it yourself, the creator shared a breakdown and some scene files, models, and raw renders on Gumroad.

Hampel is known for his beautiful photorealistic environments, which you can admire on his ArtStation
