This Live Feed Oil Paint Filter Add-On For Blender Got Updated

Alan Wyatt's Blender Live Paint Filter 3.0 is here, featuring advanced settings and better optimization.

Alan Wyatt, known for developing various useful add-ons, released Blender Live Paint Filter, a tool that lets you transform your models into beautiful traditional-style paintings with visible paint strokes, back in 2022. Essentially, it functions as a live feed camera filter that can be applied to any object in your scene.

The latest overhaul, now supporting Blender 4.4, introduces more advanced settings and enhanced optimization for your projects. Now, there's no need for manual appending or modifying your render settings. Just install Blender Live Paint Filter, and it's ready to go, seamlessly integrating into your Blender scenes. It's also compatible with both rendering engines, ensuring stable performance.

Blender Live Paint Filter 3.0 offers better spatial coherence with a new point distribution method, which helps reduce jitter in animations. Note that it's still experimental and not yet perfect.

It also includes integration with DAUB Brushes, offering five new brush packs and dynamic bump mapping for realistic textures.

Furthermore, with layer support, you can now separate foreground and background elements for greater control over detail and create dynamic strokes that follow the mesh's silhouette, achieving a natural, painterly effect through curve interpolation. Additionally, the new calibration views and control abstraction levels allow for fine-tuning the effect.

All updates are free for previous users, so be sure to update your Blender Live Paint Filter or purchase it here.
