Warner Bros. Says That Wonder Woman Won't Be a Live Service Game

The publisher dispels the rumor by stating that the title is "not being designed as a live service" game.

After some speculations about Wonder Woman, an upcoming open-world action game from Monolith Productions, being a live-service title, Warner Bros. has come forward to deny the rumor.

For those who haven't heard the rumor, some time ago Wccftech wrote an article where they noticed a new job listing at Monolith that sought a Lead Software Engineer for the Wonder Woman project. The listing mentioned that "experience helping maintain a live software product or game" was preferable. It is important to note that this requirement was listed as a preference rather than a strict requirement for applicants.

However, it seems that it's just a rumor since Warner Bros. is keen to dispel it, confirming to IGN that the upcoming title is "not being designed as a live service" game.

"Wonder Woman is a single-player action-adventure game set in a dynamic open world. This third-person experience will allow players to become Diana of Themyscira and introduce an original story set in the DC Universe, while also featuring the Nemesis System. Wonder Woman is not being designed as a live service," stated Warner Bros.

The Wonder Woman game was initially revealed nearly two years ago at The Game Awards in 2021. The game was introduced as a single-player open-world action title during the event. However, since that time Warner Bros. hasn't shared much information.

Speaking of Warner Bros., recently the developer of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League released an in-depth look at the game in a new 20-minute video. The video, part of the Suicide Squad Insider series, focuses on the game's story and gameplay elements.
