Infinity Ward's Alex Olstinske shared a massive collection of 3D materials created for the studio's CoD MWII.
A week ago, Senior Material Artist at Infinity Ward Alex Olstinske shared a sizeable collection of behind-the-scenes shots, offering a closer look at the 3D materials created for the studio's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, a sequel to the 2019 reboot and the most-recent installment in the CoD series.
According to Alex, his responsibilities included material creation, texture/material planning, creation and authoring, material blend variation setup, implementation support, and optimizations. The materials themselves were made using a variety of different techniques using Substance 3D Designer, photogrammetry data, or a combination of both.
