This Pencil Drawing Is Actually a 3D Character Model

Made by Aya Akl with ZBrush and Blender.

As hard as it may be to believe, but what you see in the video above is not a real-life pencil drawing but rather an incredibly unique-looking NPR 3D character model, brought to life by a talented Character Designer and Visual Development Artist Aya Akl.

Portraying a Lebanese woman at the beach, the project was created using ZBrush and Blender, with hatching made using texture-painted lines, along with "some Grease Pencil added here and there for detail." According to Aya, this project has taught her about the importance of UV maps, inspiring the artist to get better at creating them manually instead of relying on auto UV maps.

Additionally, the creator has shared a behind-the-scenes look at the sculpt, showcasing also the sketch the 3D model is based on:

Previously, Aya also showcased a similar-looking Lebanese man at the beach, also made with ZBrush and Blender:
