Tram Drey's Blender-Made 3D Crab Gun Model Has Been Complete

This bizarre blunderbuss gives shotgun "shells" a new meaning.

Back in April, Freelance Artist and Designer Andrey Negrúl, also known as Tram Drey, presented a truly unique work-in-progress 3D weapon concept that disregarded all traditional gunsmithing principles and imagined a scoped double-barrel shotgun made entirely out of crab.

A month has passed since then, and the creator has delighted the community once again by finally sharing the complete version of this outlandish blunderbuss, now incorporating even more crustacean-inspired details. Giving shotgun "shells" a new meaning, Tram Drey's "craboomstick" was made using Blender and Substance 3D Designer, with the author pointing out that the yellowish parts on the shotgun's surface were made by baking a Displacement Map.

According to the artist, the project was inspired by the beauty of the crabs. "I really like them. Natural wonder," commented Tram Drey. Attached below are some of the renders and behind-the-scenes shots, we highly encourage you to visit the creator's ArtStation and Reddit pages to see more:

In early January, shortly after Disney's Steamboat Willie entered the public domain, Tram Drey also wowed us by showcasing a cool 3D model of Mickey Mouse and offering it for free download. You can find more details and download the model by clicking this link.
