Jessica Marrubini did a great job.
One day, players will see Nintendo's Switch as an archaic console. It will be displayed in its Museum to show the ancient technology we thought was revolutionary. Jessica Marrubini can help us imagine what it will be like with her 3D project showing Pokédex in a Pokéball, old and abandoned.
"What happens when two micro-worlds are nested within each other? And what if we wanted to catch all the Pokémon at once? A glitch would occur a space-time distortion bringing forth the infamous and elusive MissingNo glitch."
The modeling was done in Blender, with textures falling on Substance 3D Painter and Photoshop's shoulders. The renders are thanks to Marmoset Toolbag and Unreal Engine 5. The VFX and SFX are courtesy of Luca Eberhart.
On Marrubini's ArtStation, you will find many fascinating works, like the cute takoyaki shop we've covered before, an animated version of Hairo Satoh's PlayStation handheld created from a rare old Takara's Roulette controller, and other cool projects.
