Anna Molchanova shared this atmospheric artwork made with Blender, Marmoset Toolbag, Substance 3D Painter, and Photoshop.
Check out this highly realistic 3D model of a vintage Sony micro-cassette recorder from the 1980s showcased by 3D Artist Anna Molchanova.
The artwork is a replication of a Sony M-80 recorder, which was released back in 1982. The artist created a lifelike representation of the retro portable device, adding realistic wear and tear to its plastic and buttons and custom details like tape and stickers. The artwork was created using Blender, Marmoset Toolbag, Substance 3D Painter, and Photoshop, and the artist shared that it took her 2.5 months to complete the project.
The prop gives off a nostalgic vibe, looking like a genuine artifact straight from the 1980s – something you might find in an old box of your parents' belongings. It evokes the image of its owner spending hours listening to electronic dance music and pressing the device's buttons while strolling down the streets.
